Tool for harvesting

It should seem that all tools in the game can get organic polymer, however some are obviously better. In this situation should all tools be listed, or just the ones which are effective? --Alex42000 (talk) 19:08, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

The tools-parameter should contain only tools that are the best for harvesting the resource (cf. all(?) tools yield thatch, but that's not a useful information), though there is no discussion or consens on how to use this parameter afaik. The same would be true for the creature that can harvest it. We will maybe introduce more parameters to cover the best three creatures / tools for a resource. --Cadaeib (talk) 19:31, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

My low-level pelagornis with 250%+ melee gathers significantly more poly than my character with 175% melee. Like 6-8x as much. Is this only happening for me? Is there a reason that the page lists a wooden club as the best method to harvest this?

This can be due to a larger base damage of Pelagornis (16) vs club's one(5) --AntonioOne (talk) 00:39, 18 November 2016 (UTC)

Please edit the gathering table

Chainsaw is the best tool. I tried to edit it to five stars and the others to four stars, but I can't seem to figure out where to edit the source table.--Jagid3 (talk) 17:16, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
