No biomes on an island

No real biomes since the game takes place on an island. Should this page be deleted? Doctor Arson (talk) 09:08, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

I'd say. Unless someone can put forth major differences between proposed "biomes', I'll delete this page. I'll leave it up for today, though. If anyone, hopefully the author will speak up. Yeah, I assumed since it was an island there wouldn't be any real biomes. It's a bit ridiculous to have multiple biomes in a 6km^2 area, but ARK isn't known for realism. haha. --Doctor Arson (talk) 02:44, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

As Illegal said, there are more biomes on the way. But even without that, there is quite a difference in dino presence, climate, and resources when comparing Beaches, Mountains, Forests, and Rivers. I say the page is a good idea. --Mr Pie 5 (talk) 06:03, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Picture with v241 biome changes

The new biome picture shows information for v241 which is not yet released. I wanted to make this fact clear by adding " for v241 and later" into the frametext for biome-image. However this failed with an "Inappropriate language prevention" message from the abuse filter. I think it should be made clear that this map does not yet reflect the ingame biomes. -- Gaddhi (talk) 14:42, 7 May 2016 (UTC)

In my opinion, we shouldn't be using this image yet anyways. We should stick with the old one, which is currently accurate, and keep this new one in our back pocket until v241 (or whatever version the next biome update comes in; delays happen) releases.

You should update the biome page because there are missing biomes: Eden, Void, Corrupt Gardens, Meat biome, Maze, Draugr tombs, Fjord, Jotunheim, Biolum plains 91.243.23.229 08:04, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
