Graduate Students

The graduate students are a group of five college-aged people from the 21st century. All five of them suddenly wake up on the Aberration ARK and are forced to work together in order to survive.

Background

Rusty Stafford

Rusty is a person from the state of Kentucky in the United States. Though much is not known about him, he says that he was a descendant of Floyd-William Stafford the Third who has a family saying about how to become a man.

Emilia Muller

Emilia is a modern-day student who is doing her graduate studies as an engineering student. Based on her last name, she is a person of European descent.

Boris

There isn't much known about his background in his past life, but based on Rusty's description of him through the word Rusky, he is a person of Russian descent.

Trent

Very little information about his background is unknown, but he seems to be an American modern-day graduate student who did football during college.

Imamu

Imamu is a modern-day graduate student who is of African descent/royalty. Living in a war-torn Africa, Imamu's parent's frequently hired soldiers to guard the family estate. He lived a rich and wealthy life in his family estate where his family believed that royal hands shouldn't get dirty. Tired of relying on having servants do everything for him, he snuck off to college.

Personality

Rusty Stafford

Rusty was a hard-working and honest person who knows when it is time to do things himself. He lives his life through the sayings of his elders and ancestors. As an American from Kentucky, he has the typical Southern accent, and his writing shows. His values of a leader revolve around the idea of putting food on the table.

Emilia Muller

Emilia is described to be a good person all around who lived a life with no risks or mistakes. She describes herself as having a forgettable face. She isn't the person who likes to experience adversity when facing something that can kill her. From being a good student, a good sister, and a good friend, Emilia is overall, a kind person thrust into a cruel world.

Boris

Boris is seen to be a rather callous survivor who seems to care little about others and is obsessed with the mysteries of the metal around the Aberration ARK. His method of surviving is seeing the ARK as a labyrinth and to best it by finding its treasure. However, his overall obsessive attitude is akin to Sir Edmund Rockwell.

Trent

Trent is a determined, yet social survivor who willingly follows orders if it benefits the group. Despite having tensions with his fellow survivors, he understands their deeper intentions on why they did a certain action.

Imamu

Imamu is a calm, methodical person who takes the leadership role of his fellow survivors.

Rusty Stafford

• Emilia Muller
  • She is concerned about Rusty for thinking that he puts too much upon himself after he ran off to prove his worth.
  • He remarked to himself that she had quite a sharp mind when making the climbing picks.
• Boris
  • In the first few moments of their arrival, Rusty didn't trust Boris from the start.
  • When Rusty snapped at Trent, Boris held back the former.
  • Being absent from the group, Emilia noted that Boris said to not look for him.
• Trent
  • After Rusty brought down a Roll rat for food, Trent made fun of him for his accent. This caused him to snap, and Trent ended up avoiding him.
  • According to Emilia, even Trent was worried that he is missing.
• Imamu
  • Rusty is confused as to why he is the leader that everyone is listening to him as, according to him, doesn't put food on the table.
  • When Rusty snapped at Trent, Imamu scolded him for something that caused him to venture out on his own to prove his worth.
  • He referred to Rusty in his notes to give him strength before he inevitably lost his fight against Rockwell.

Emilia Muller

  • He saw her as being a helpful, yet quiet person when she made the climbing picks.
  • His explosive attitude towards Trent made her scared of him, but when she calmed down, she was actually worried about him.

  • Though they interacted very little with each other, Boris left a lasting impression on her that she is the one to blame when Nameless have surrounded them to a point that she blames herself for supposedly killing them all and sacrificing herself in the end.
• Trent
  • Ever since Rusty disappeared, Emilia felt she was useless when Trent was doing the work instead of her despite being the engineer of the group.
  • When he and Imamu arrived at the Tek tribe's base/camp, he referred to Emilia as being smart enough to work with the technology.
• Imamu
  • Ever since Rusty disappeared, Emilia doesn't know how Imamu and Trent are motivated to keep going in a dangerous place.
  • He referred to Emilia in his notes to give him strength before he inevitably lost his fight against Rockwell.

Boris

  • When both of them were malnourished after traveling, Rusty fell down a cliff. Rusty asked for help, but Boris chose to cannibalize Rusty when he was no longer in a fit condition.

  • Even though she sacrificed herself to save him, Trent, and Imamu from the Nameless, he demeaned her death into being a pawn for the king.
• Trent
  • Rarely working in tandem with each other, Boris described him as a brainless mule that Imamu needs to let go of.
• Imamu
  • Boris respects Imamu's initiative in taking the group's role as leader.
  • In his own thoughts, Boris wants Imamu to let go of his compassion for others so the two of them can uncover the secrets of the ARKs.
  • He referred to Boris in his notes to give him strength before he inevitably lost his fight against Rockwell.

  • Trent noted Boris' crazy talk about the artifacts being keys and understood that he was onto something.
• Imamu
  • Trent is grateful that Imamu knows some things about survival and that he is the brains while he himself is the brawn.
  • Before they set out on finding the last artifact, he and Imamu joked about selling their story to Hollywood and who will take their roles in their ARK story once they make it out of Aberration.
  • When Trent suffered an injury from a Reaper Queen's tail attack, Imamu looked at it and noted it wasn't too bad, but Trent didn't know that his fate was sealed.

Imamu

He noted that all of his fallen comrades weigh him down, but he must push forward to not let their sacrifice be in vain as he sought out the artifacts.

  • Imamu held on to Boris' journal and learned of how there is a master on the Aberration ARK.

Edmund Rockwell

Though he was not a part of the five graduate students, he greatly influenced most of the prominent student's actions without them knowing he was behind the words.

• Rusty
  • The first of the five graduate students he influenced, he talked in Rusty's mind about being unstable and that no one trusts him. Rusty tried to tell his other comrades about the voice, but they ignore him. This leads him to venture deeper into the cave and soon, his death.
• Boris
  • The student amongst the five with a similar personality to Rockwell's, Rockwell tells Boris that the artifacts are a token to prove a survivor's worthiness in facing him and that the Master's/his way involves sacrifices.
• Imamu
  • Imamu was the student Rockwell has affected the most. When Imamu gathered all three artifacts and was heading to the terminal Boris mentioned in his notes, Imamu felt a pull in his mind that had a heavy presence and makes him exhausted. When Imamu and his tames faced Rockwell himself, Rockwell gave him so much trauma during the battle that Imamu forsaken everything.
