Attack Drone is a new variant of 
Attack Drone added in Fixed Extinction.
Basic info
Behavior
This special version of the Attack Drone flies through the ruins of Sanctuary. It doesn't fight unless attack and doesn't become aggressive when the player is targeted by a wild 
Scout. Its fighting is much different from a normal attack drone. While the normal variant slowly zips towards the player and occasionally shoots lasers, this one is much faster, chaotic, gains more height and shoots lasers and tek bow arrows alternatrely.
Appearance
Attack Drone has three key differences in appearance that set it apart from the original. It doesn't constantly expel fire from its jet, hover pads are empty inside and lighting is a color region, that can be changed.
Color Scheme and Regions

Combat
General
Attack Drone flies in circles above its target and is hard to hit when provoked. When standing still, the Drone will have hard time hitting the player and most damage taken will come from its normal projectile's AOE of 4-5 base damage.
Strategy
The cheapest early-game strategy to fight the Drone is to immobilize it with a 
Bola and kill it using 
Spears.
Another strategy would be to use a more advanced weapon and shoot the Drone while standing completely still. 
Bows and 
Crossbows may not be able to hit it.
Velonasaur, while can beat an attack drone, isn't recommended. It will most likely get shot with Tek Bow arrows and end up dying or very injured.
Managarmr had shown to be a valid solution for Attack Drones. Ice breath of a high level managarmr can dispatch of the drone before it has a chance to attack.
Weaponry
If creatures with reliable ranged attacks are off limits, a Bola is essential if one wishes to fight these drones.
Dangers
Tek Bow arrows and unpredictable pattern while flying can cause your creatures to take a beating if no self-defense is available.
Weakness
Attack Drone doesn't attack first, which means the player can get an edge in combat by attacking it first. They will also stop attacking after a while, allowing for escape if much needed.
Taming

Utility
Abilities
- Performs a spinning attack that deals 18 base damage 3 times.
- Shoots a projectile that deals 30 base damage. It can damage every structure type.
X - Raises its altitude.
C - Lowers its altitude, shoots a Tek Bow projectile, which doesn't scale and usually deals 218 damage.
Left Ctrl - Shoots a Tek Bow projectile, which doesn't scale and usually deals 218 damage.
Roles
- Battle support: Attack Drones aren't particulary expensive and the tek bow projectile is devastating even at the lowest levels. Drones can be brought to fight some of the mod's mini-bosses for some huge extra damage.
- Early-game flyer: Drones can be obtained as early as level 20, which unlocks the
Forge. It's needed to smelt metal ingots, which can't be harvested from Sanctuary Structures or local creatures, unlike other resources needed for unassembled drone. This gives the player access to a flying mount much earlier than vanilla Extinction does (Pteranodon with saddle on level 38). - Early-game DPS: Attack Drone can shoot a tek arrow, which deals over 200 damage even on the lowest level. If one can aim its shots, the drone will be of great help when dealing with some more powerful mid-game creatures.

- Tek Bow projectiles fired by Attack Drone can be picked up to receive a
Metal Arrow. - Attack Drone can eat oil in addition to various forms of Element.
- It can't land and constantly drains stamina when mounted.
