El Bosque Esmeralda (The Emerald Forest en la versión original del juego) es una de las cuevas disponibles en la expansión "Valguero" de ARK: Survival Evolved.

Descripción

Esta cueva contiene todo un bosque subterráneo que se parece a los terrenos de "Aberration", conteniendo los primeros dinosaurios "aberrantes" fuera del mapa principal.

Al igual que en "Aberration", las criaturas que aparecen aquí y que contienen el prefijo "aberrante" son inmunes a la radiación y podrán emplearse para explorar Lo Desconocido.

• Lo Desconocido está en el interior de este bosque. Ten cuidado, ya que hay zonas en la entrada que son radiactivas (aunque el interior no lo sea).
• Bio toxin can be harvested by Iguanodon.
  • Cemento can be also harvested from insects with Beelzebufo.
• There are black rocks with oil and a deep lake with oil nodes.
• dotted around this area are Tek like structures similar to the Ancient device and Fallen nexus ruins on Aberration.
• Managarmr cannot dive in The Emerald Forest, even though they can in most of Aberration.

• Este lugar está totalmente prohibido a criaturas voladoras; sin embargo, al contrario que en Aberration, dichas criaturas podrán entrar dentro de la cueva (aunque no podrás montar en ellas). Sin embargo, los jugadores podrían verse forzados a desmontar estando aún a cierta distancia de sus dos entradas, así que ten mucho cuidado ya que podría desmontarte en la peor de las situaciones.
  • Around the mainland (western) entrance, if a player get dismounted might receive fatal fall damage. If they do survived, however, potential predators near the entrance might finish the job. As this entrance is accessible by land mounts and by foot, it is recommended to enter this way.
  • Around the lake (eastern) entrance, dismounted player is more than probable to fall into the entrance and get trapped in The Emerald Forest. They have either to kill themselves and respawn outside. The player is only able to get out by using a grapple, climbing picks, or by making it out the other side, which is very difficult if not prepared, and the large drop from the waterfall will probably kill the player.
