The Stone Irrigation Pipe - Tap can be used for drinking, irrigation of Crop Plots, and filling up Waterskins, Water Jars, Canteens and Tek Canteen by placing them in the tap's inventory.
The placement of the tap must be clear of wall obstructions, as line of sight is required for the two functions (inventory access & drink water).
Construction
In ARK: Survival Evolved any pipes and taps connected to this structure will be treated as having an active, continuous water source.
The Stone Irrigation Pipe - Tap can be snapped to any Metal Irritation Pipe (Straight, Inclined, Vertical, Intersection) or Stone Irritation Pipe (Straight, Inclined, Vertical, Intersection). It cannot be attached to Metal Irrigation Pipe - Flexible or Stone Irrigation Pipe - Flexible.
For more informations about irrigation mechanics, read here: Irrigation.
Notes
- In ARK: Survival Evolved only the pipe to which the Tap was initially attached will provide it with water. If you attach another pipe from another water source to other side of the Tap - it will not provide the Tap with water. Consider this when making your irrigation that is meant to be backed up. Instead of connecting two water sources directly in one tap, it is better to link them using an intersection and then place a Tap on one of free hands of that intersection.
- The Stone Irrigation Pipe - Tap is treated as a wooden structure and can not be damaged by hands, stone weapons, or non-explosive ranged attacks.
