In one of your edit summaries, you said by the way please update your interface, it's clunky, slow, and inconvenient. Could you please elaborate on what you meant by that? Do you mean the overall site format, mediawiki, or simply the habitat map you were editing?

Hey, thanks for getting back to me, and sorry it took a while for me to respond.

I was referring mainly to the editing interface. It's usually good, but sometimes breaks down. when editing a page it can sometimes take 5 minutes to load and actually begin editing, and the data entry for habitat info (what I edit most often) can be inconveniencing (especially with seas). I think a better system would be to, when editing habitat info, to simply enlarge the habitat section and center it onscreen, then have the person click the region (such as grand hills, Hidden lake, Footpaw, etc) to open a selector panel, and have them use that panel to select from one of the common-ness levels. I'm not versed in coding for websites so I don't know the practicality of such a solution, but I think it would be rather elegant. Hi NoMercyForStooges, I recommend to use not the visual-editor, but the source-text-editor. I guess the loading time you refer to is caused by that. For the editing of the habitat info, thanks for your suggestion! The method you described surely sounds amazing, but it would need a lot of effort to create an interface like that and probably the creation of a new extension for the wiki. If you happen to know a wiki that has an editor like that, there might be the possibility that we can adapt it to the habitat info, but even then it sounds like a lot of work.--Cadaeib (talk) 13:33, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
