recent changes dark mode

As far as I can see, the Combat section was commented out (nothing lost in source code), as to indicate (and preserve the source) that the sub-sections still need to be merged into a single section - an editor note has been added too. Normally this wouldn't be done like that, but this way (getting the edit done as quickly as possible) minimises the risk of concurrent edit conflicts.

The changes are being done for search engine optimisation, to streamline the layout, and to reduce the number of cases where extra combat sections, like Weaknesses or Strategy, may be empty or simply repeating information stated 2-3 lines above.

Thanks for the info Alex, good to see ya again btw. It's Ralty from the old wiki, you know the one who used to do a lot of the work on the utility sections, abilities, passives, buffs, etc. If we're looking for ways to cut down on redundant information, i have a suggestion. Perhaps it would be a good idea to shove the Behavior sections INTO the combat section... OR make Combat a subsection of the Behavior section. Either could work. But yeah, one can get a general sense of a creature's behavior from the combat section... whether or not it's hostile, reactive, or flighty, etc etc. Like on the carcha page... i mean look at the Behavior section. It's tiny. Most creatures can be summed up in a similar manner with 'these attack you on sight' or 'these run from you on sight' etc. It just feels like something that could be shoved into the combat section or have the combat section absorbed into it. When you think about it, combat is an interaction between the creature and the player, which is in of itself a type of behavior... how the animal behaves in response to you.

Good point, but it might not apply to non-aggressive creatures where combat might not apply or might require its own text. So there's three outcomes, I think:

• Merge Behaviour into Combat -> keep titled as Combat where fighting is involved, Behaviour otherwise
• Merge Behaviour into Combat -> titled as Encountering
• Have a behaviour section above combat where applicable and non-repetitive; skip combat if redundant.

addendum

On that topic, i also feel that cloning should belong near to Base Stats and Growth like it used to be, as it involves breeding, leveling, etc. Cloning is a comparable subject to breeding, growth, and leveling up. It feels... very out of place next to the section that discusses how the tame can be utilized, ye feel me?

How did you remove the Question mark icons?

Hey, it's me, the one who made the Rhynio icon.

I made icons for Fenrisúlfr, Hati and Sköll, and Rubble Bear (Wasn't able to do Beyla Spawn due to reasons)

When I made Rhynio icon, I putted it in the gallery because I did not know how to put in the inbox where the question mark icon was. But how did you do put the icon in the indox?

Please sign your messages with four tildes ~~~~. MediaWiki will automatically replace them with current date and your user name.

Head icons follow a simple naming scheme of creature name.png - if a file titled like this doesn't exist, File:Missing.png is shown instead. So, all that needs to be done to replace the question mark with an actual title is uploading (or moving) a PNG to the creature's name.

Upload form should have a text field to set the target file name. Files that have been already uploaded may be moved through the Move option in the top navigation next to search (likely inside the More dropdown).

Fenrisulfr icon issue

Hey, me again,

Apparently, someone had added my Fenrisulfr icon to the inbox, but didn't make it the right size for the inbox, can you fix that please?

PS: Is there a much easier way to put the icon in the inbox's, I know you gave some advice, but all of these seem very difficult for me to do based off my abilities on wiki.gg

Automated tools, or pywikibot in my case. Just, since these are potential weapons of mass destruction, it's recommended that only experienced people run those, and only after a permission is granted from the admin team. Also, to sign your messages simply write four tildes ~~~~ or tap the "Signature and timestamp" (underlined x with a cursive e/l icon) in the editor's toolbar.
