Missing Resources

Missing resources: Significant quantity of metal nodes around Pelagornis Islands and coastal cliffside (14, 43 area) are not displaying metal nodes on this map. --Ed38pve (talk) 02:37, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

Unfortunately the wiki has its limits so that we can't draw one dot for each single resource node. When there are many nodes in an area they are combined to one dot. Ragnarok on the other hand is a huge map, so comparing to the other maps we had to skip a lot more nodes, read: combining more nodes in each dot. And currently only 50% of the map is finished. Expect that we have to combine more when it is finished. So the Resource Map gives you only a rough estimation where you have to seek.
You can easily add some single dots by hand, but expect that they can be deleted on map updates. --Flachdachs (talk) 06:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

Map seems to be off

All the locations on the map seem to be physically offset. If you don't have GPS and try to eyeball it based on where it is overlayed on the map on this page, they all seem to be offset a few mm.--125.129.16.99 12:47, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

The ingame map does not always show your exact position. This is why you should craft a  GPS, they're quite cheap for their usefulness. 216.54.120.82 13:00, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
We are using the topographic map here, created from game data. So, the map as such is supposed to be correct. If coordinates don't apply to the landmarks then it is likely a matter of the border offset. I made a tour around the map and collected some coordinates, and for me it seems that it fits best without any offset. Objections? --Flachdachs (talk) 11:38, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
