Taming food on mobile

I encountered this creature today for the first time. It said, feed Titanboa kibble to tame it, not Bee Honey. Could be a different because I'm on mobile. Need to check out more. Jochenbilderbeek1980 (talk) 17:00, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

Liopleurodon's size

Is making a footnote on Liopleurodon's size really neccessary? After all, 25ft/7.6m is pretty much the accepted size, and nobody has claimed it reaches 25m in...well, years now. As it is, the statement we had previously looked really awkward, especially since it wasn't "Walking with Dinosaurs" who invented the idea that Liopleurodon reached 25m.

Heck, if Ark's Liopleurodon DID reach 25m, I'd say that would be more of a reason to have that footnote. 92.29.126.165 19:05, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Both the WWD page[1] and the WWD Wiki[2] suggest they did say this, and many other sites say that this it is a myth they made up and the liopleurodon was closer to 7 meters[3][4][5]. So there was a fairly widespread claim that Liopleurodon was an enormous carnivore (because WWD is no small source of information) and the note is about the game's portrayal following the realistic size rather than old size. Discrepancies and comparisons between creatures/items and their real-world counterparts are generally considered to be an acceptable form of trivia.

Thing is, though, WWD did NOT make up that size. If you look at Liopleurodon's wikipedia page [6], it says that the size estimate came about from extremely fragmentary remains, and several books released around the same time (which I don't have any references for other than the fact I own them, so short of scanning the pages you'll have to trust me) also make the claim that it's 25m. Basically, it wasn't WWD exclusive, which in a sense defeats the purpose and wording of the original trivia, to the point where it didn't, in my eyes at least, look right. WWD was the only media that I'm aware of that used a 25m long Liopleurodon, but they did not "make it up". 92.29.126.165 05:48, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
I think I see your point now. It was at one time universally considered to be 25m (spread by WWD, but not originating there) but evidence since has shown that it is 7m and that idea has been accepted for a while now. So the footnote is basically saying "it's normal-sized", and mention of the old size is irrelevant these days as it is widely accepted to be this length, and thus the game variant has no notable discrepancy with the real-world counterpart (like saying "this dinosaur is red, just as scientists believed it to be"). Does that sound about right to you?

Pretty much, yeah. It'd be like pointing out that Iguanodon doesn't have a horn. Actually, before the whole 25m thing, it was believed that its maximum length was 12m, so if anything, it's shrunk. Liopleurodon has been messed about for size over the years.
