The Southern Dunes is a region in Scorched Earth.

Surroundings

A dangerous and barren desert home to some of the more deadly creatures the map has to offer. There are very few things in this area of the dunes besides the occasional salt node and ruins. The abundance of bugs such as Pulmonoscorpius and Mantis make it easy to get chitin if you are strong enough to conquer the area. It is not recommended to try to live here.

Notes

• Due to the large amounts of animals in the dunes other animals that don't spawn in the dunes commonly chase prey and end up there creating potentially more danger in the area.
• Wind power is very strong in the dunes which increases the viability of wind turbines.
• The close proximity of the dunes to the Southern Mountains makes getting supplies like Metal and Obsidian possible in the otherwise devoid area.
