After two Megaraptors mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby Megaraptor.
Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild Megaraptors will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.

Stealing an egg from a wild mother will cause her to chase you relentlessly.
By taming a female, you can collect the eggs without her becoming aggressive. Megaraptors cannot get the Mate Boost buff and as such, the only way to boost egg laying is with an 
Oviraptor.
