Veilwyn, infused with a strange substance. This cold-hearted hunter is a regal yet ruthless mount, built for single-minded threat elimination, with enhanced abilities that weaken and slow its prey.

It took several decades longer then expected, but at last we have achieved a breakthrough in the artificial hyper-evolution of our Veilwyn familiars into more imposing creatures. Red Element will fuse with Vulpite to create a new amalgam we call Sanguine Vulpite. And introducing Sanguine Vulpite into the system of a young Veilwyn will result in a most fearsome and regal mount. Let's call it a Malwyn.
- Applications
Here is a creature with a single-minded focus on threat elimination. Unlike its more benevolent cousin, the Solwyn, a Malwyn has no interest in safe exploration or play. It will instead identify prey, focus all its terrible malice onto that unlucky target, and attack. With its enhanced teleabsorptive abilities, a Malwyn can slow regenerative processes, induce sluggishness, and create frailty where none existed before. While its climbing prowess is a disappointment compared to the Solwyn breed, a Malwyn will more readily use its teleportational ability to pounce on its prey across great distances. Some of my thralls have complained about the prolonged deactivation period of the Malwyn's portals. Those who do are unworthy of one of these austere mounts. The ruthless efficiency of this majestic creature makes it the ideal beast to lead a hunting party.
Appearance
The Malwyn is a vicious canimorph, with six eyes and an exceptionally long tongue. Being particularly thin, its skin is stretched tight over its body. Its rear legs are equipped with a sickle-shaped claw.
Behavior
Malwyn are only found in the wild as Thrall controlled Lost Malwyn, which are aggressive or neutral to the player depending on the players' relation with the Lost faction.

Roles
Taming
Malwyns are not tamable by default, but instead are evolved from
Veilwyn using
Corrupted Vulpite.
When the companion Veilwyn's current buff "Adventure!" reaches 100%, it can be forcefed with Vulpite, which causes it to disappear into the warp and come out as Malwyn.

Notes
- The Malwyn is one of the two evolutions of the
Veilwyn, the other is the
Solwyn.
- However, Malwyns are considered an "artificial evolution", meaning this is likely not a natural evolution.
- The Malwyms' design and appearance may be influenced by the Hellhound, a mythological hound that embodies a guardian or a servant of hell, the devil, or the underworld.
- It might also represent the fundamental concept of darkness, which symbolizes the unknown, evil, or the absence of light in contrast with the
Solwyn, which represents light.
