Fjordur

The Jotunheim is a region in the Fjordur DLC that can only be accessed by means of one of the portals in The Hidden Worlds cave. It can also be accessed using the Realm Teleportation menu (Hold R, , on foot).

Overview

Comparable to the likes of Murdersnow on Ragnarok, Jotunheim is a frigid but beautiful region containing fauna like Dire Bears, Direwolves, etc. It is tremendously cold, steadily reaching -50F (-45C) and below, so be prepared if you dare to traverse this realm. Jotunheim contains an Ice Wyvern trench to the Northwest, and the worldboss terminal for Steinbjörn located at 77.69/30.82.

• Of all the map areas in all of known DLC, Jotunheim ranks as the most inhospitable area to set a base in. This is due to temperature dropping between negative 47 to 55 degree celsius, which requires an extreme amount of Hypothermia protection to ensure that the debuff does not constantly kill you.
