The Adobe Wall is a structure introduced in Scorched Earth and also available on Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Genesis: Part 2, Lost Island and Fjordur.
A wall provides structure to a building and encloses an area.
Construction
An Adobe Wall can be placed on any Foundation, Fence Foundation, Ceiling (with the exception of the Thatch Roof), or another wall.
A wall also provides support to allow a structure built on top of it to extend up to 2 ceilings in any direction on the x and y-axis, and up to 1 ceiling diagonally from a wall which is directly above a foundation. Press use (E, , ) to flip the view placement of the wall.
Notes
- If a wall is destroyed, any building pieces that rely on it for support will be destroyed as well. If it was destroyed via the demolish option, no resources will be refunded for these extra building pieces.
- Adobe structures are less durable than Stone Walls and can be broken much more easily.
- Adobe is one of the only two survivable materials to take shelter in on Scorched Earth (the other being Thatch). They give insulation, but any other material results in an extreme penalty to insulation. Adobe houses can give 400 hyperthermic insulation, while stone buildings give -900 and can cause you to be Hot even in the colder temperatures of the night. Metal structures can get as low as -1200 insulation and can potentially drain HP in seconds inside buildings.
