Abyssal Meat is a consumable in  ARK: Survival Evolved. It got introduced with the release of Aquatica.

Gathering

To gather Infected Livers, kill any large Abyssal Creatures and harvest them with the  Carving Knife. Abyssal creatures can be found in the Abyss biome. Some Rifts also spawn them.

Usage

It can be consumed by tames and the player, dealing 25 damage and restoring 10 Food to humans.

Eating it will increase your Movement Speed and increase Food and Water drain by roughly 20%. The icon also reads that it increases Melee Damage, but it appears to have no impact.

Forcefeeding it to your tame will increase its Movement Speed. It does not damage tames and does not increase damage output.

It is used as a tribute to summon Mastercraft and Ascendand Rifts in a  Rift Generator.

*Keep in mind that a full stack of preserving salts will spoil in 2 hours for all of these containers and must be restocked periodically in order to maximize the spoil time.

Notes

• Despite being listed as a crafting ingredient for  Infected Barnacles in an  Infectarium, you cannot use Abyssal Meat to craft them. Mixing them with other infected body parts will result in the Abyssal Meat disappearing, but it will not add any effect to the Infected Barnacle
• The buff given by consuming Infected Body Parts lasts for 30 seconds. This buff does not stack, instead consuming one while having an active buff will reset the timer back to 30 seconds.
